Former champion Juan Manuel "Juanma" Lopez (31-2, 28KOs) is back in the rankings of the World Boxing Organization (WBO). The sanctioning body voted unanimously to remove the boxer's suspension and to reinstate him to the WBO's world rankings. Juanma was suspended following the post-fight incident after his knockout loss to Orlando Salido in March. After the fight, Juanma called referee Robert Ramirez Sr. "a gambler" - hinting at an allegation that Ramirez stopped his fight in connection with a wager.

WBO president Francisco "Paco" Valcarcel said - "His promoters (Top Rank and Puerto Rico Best Boxing) have a date in December and he is expected to return on that date."

Referee Ramirez also said he was moving past the incident with Juanma - "We, my son (Roberto Ramirez Jr., also a referee) and I are professionals, we have no grudge with Juanma. I not sued or anything after the incident and I mean for us, this (incident with Juanma Lopez) is a closed case."
