The father and coach of two-time Olympic champion Vasyl Lomachenko,  has denied a recent press announcement by the president of the International Amateur Boxing Association (AIBA), Wu Ching-Kuo - who claimed that Lomachenko and five other members of the Ukrainian Olympic team had signed pro deals with his association.

"No one is going anywhere. The boxers have only signed letters of intent. The AIBA's terms have to be discussed. We do not know what's being offered. This is some new thing. If the overall championship will be professional, it is interesting. And if this is only for the AIBA championship - that's another story. We are also considering proposals from other organizations," Anatoly Lomachenko said.
