BoxingScene.com was advised by Steve Nelson, adviser to former heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman, that his boxer's bout with Jean Marc-Mormeck has fallen apart. The fight was scheduled to take place on December 2 in Paris, France.

According to Nelson, there was never a signed agreement or a finalized deal in place. The two sides were unable to reach an agreement on a number of items in the deal. Mormeck's team is claiming that Rahman reneged on the deal, to which Nelson says there was never a deal renege on.

"They are going around saying Rahman reneged on the deal but there was no deal. They can't produce a single piece of paper. Nobody told them to go out there and announce it and put tickets on sale [before a deal was finalized]," Nelson told BoxingScene.com
