WBC silver junior middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez says the time is not right for a mega-battle with Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., the WBC's silver champion at middleweight. The entire country of Mexico is talking about a possible fight between the two young Mexican stars and the heat is rising as both have exchanged challenges in the Mexican press.

Alvarez thinks the fight needs more time build since both are in the process of building their names. He thinks the two of them would stand to get a lot more money if they let the hype build up for a while longer.

"I am ready to do it whenever, but I believe that this is not the ideal time, as both of us are developing. I believe that when the moment comes, both of our promoters should sit down and negotiate a deal to get the best for both of us to do the fight," Alvarez told Sal Rodriguez.

"I don't think weight will be an issue. With the money involved, we can come to an agreed weight. I'm maturing, but when the time comes - I think the fight can fill up Azteca Stadium."
