According to co-promoter Luis DeCubas Sr., a deal is very close for super bantamweight Guillermo Rigondeaux (6-0, 5 KOs) to fight Ricardo Cordoba (37-2-2, 23 KOs) on November 13. The fight will be part of the Manny Pacquiao-Antonio Margarito pay-per-view at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Middleweight Kelly Pavlik and welterweight Mike Jones are expected to have fights on the show.

"Almost everything is ready and the camp of Cordoba is leaning favorably to take this fight. For [Rigondeaux], this will be a unique opportunity to shine before an audience of millions. What happens on that date will dictate the futures for both of them," DeCubas said to El Siglo.
