Detroit, MI – Urban Verve, formerly CI Web Design Inc, has redesigned the website for internationally renowned Kronk Boxing International, in time for both Super Bowl XL and an exceptional benefit to preserve the legendary gym.

In conjunction with the redesign, Urban Verve is also a co-sponsor of the upcoming “Fight Night at the Fisher” to allow the world famous gym to stay open. Kronk is one of nine Detroit recreation centers threatened with closure due to city-wide cutbacks. The fundraiser – which benefits both the gym and the Emanuel Stewart Foundation – takes place Thursday, February 2 in the lobby of Fisher building on the eve of Super Bowl weekend. According to an article published in the Detroit News, $500,000 is needed annually to keep the gym open.

As part of its sponsorship, Urban Verve is offering free wireless service to all participants, VoIP solution for the organizers and an interactive guest register for the event. Urban Verve President Cornel Ivanescu sees his participation in the fundraiser as an extension of both his personal and professional interests. “I’ve always enjoyed boxing events and being able to help the legendary Kronk Recreation Center, where many of the world’s greatest boxers have trained, is really a great honor. As a business, we have donated resources to make the event safe and provided technology consulting and web services to help promote it,” said Ivanescu

In 2001, Urban Verve started as CI Web Design Inc, offering both local and international businesses a competitive edge while reaching full market potential with advanced technologies and internet applications. As the New Year begins, the company’s commitment to forward motion is unmistakable, as fresh service options like domain name registration, computer network design and maintenance, wireless systems and managed ColdFusion servers made the old moniker a thing of the past. “Our service offerings have changed and the ‘web design’ angle of our previous name no longer fully describes our company,” said Ivanescu. “The new line-up will add more value to our base of web development, search engine optimization and rich internet application design, allowing us to present a complete range of value added technology solutions to our customers.”

Urban Verve offers innovative technology and experience with a city vibe while retaining a dedication to clients needing edge and affordability. Urban Verve is Detroit: cool, metropolitan and always on the move.

Celebrated boxing trainer Emanuel Steward knows a knock-out when he sees it, so the choice for a new website design team was clear. “People around the world are concerned about the Kronk Gym's future, so this is a critical time for us to have a website that can provide timely information about the efforts to save the gym. Since Urban Verve's redesign of the website, the site is faster, easier to navigate and shows higher in search engines helping us spread the message to the boxing community while allowing us to take care of the city's youth,” said Steward.
