WBC silver middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. returns on September 11 against Pawel Wolak in Mexico. There are discussions for a fight with WBA junior middleweight champion Miguel Cotto for December 4.

There are two other fights on the mind of Chavez Jr. He would like to get revenge on Oscar De La Hoya, the president of Golden Boy Promotions. De La Hoya put a bad beating on Julio's father, Chavez Sr., in two fights. Chavez Jr. has blamed De La Hoya for taking advantage of his father when he was already well past his prime. The other is Saul "Canelo" Alvarez. Chavez and Alvarez are heated rivals in Mexico and the two have taken stabs at each other quite often in the press. Chavez wants to settle their issues in the ring.

"Of course there are a number of boxers that I would like to fight. But in particular there are two which I desire to get in the ring. So I would like to propose a two fight package to Golden Boy, with one fight against the 'Canelo' Alvarez, and the other against Oscar De La Hoya. And it's not all about money. I want to fight them and defeat them. That's my proposal, my challenge and let's see how they respond," Chavez Jr. said.

He says both fights are personal. It was tough to watch his father take the beatings from De La Hoya, but the worst beating he saw his father take was at the hands of Kostya Tszyu in July of 2000.

"I saw him fight several times since my early childhood. I enjoyed his triumphs, and suffered his defeats. And I confess only one thing...that I cried only once, when he lost to Kostya Tszyu. I saw him go down and take a lot of punishment," Chavez Jr. said.
