Mexico - Both Mexican fighter Omar Niño and Filipino champion Rodel Mayol promised to provide a great show and win the rematch for the WBC flyweight championship on Saturday in Mexico.

Mayol and Nino met again on Wednesday morning at a press conference to hype this Saturday's event being put together by Zanfer Promotions in coordination with Top Rank and the Municipal Government of San Juan del Rio and the Queretaro State Government. The fight will be broadcast by Fox Sports in the United States and Latin America and TV Azteca in Mexico.

Mayol-Nino II is loaded with a special kind of pride, especially after the controversial end to their February 27 fight in Guadalajara, when in the third round Mayol complained about a low blow by Nino, who seeing no intervention by the referee Vic Drakulich, finished off Mayol with a hook in the jaw to score a knockout.

A decision was made, based on the rules, to make the outcome a technical draw, Mayol retained the title, and Nino left with empty hands and sparked controversy.

"I know Omar Nino told the media that I had won with help, but I have nothing to do with the rules. What happened was an accident, and it's now in the past and what's important is the fight this Saturday. I am much better prepared and I have no doubt I will win and it will be a great show for the public," said Mayol, who is managed by Manny Pacquiao.

"Manny has nothing to do with the outcome of my fights with Sosa and Nino. Manny is is not up in the ring. I am the one who goes in there to fight the opponent. Manny is only my manager."

While the Mexican challenger Omar Nino said that he will take care of the cunning tricks of Mayol and will be champion by winning a title that belongs to him.

"Everyone knows how to fight Mayol, this time I am taking no chances to allow them to use their cunning tricks. The belt stays in Mexico no matter what. Viva Mexico," yelled Niño and led the applause of those present.
