If unbeaten Filipino Johnriel Casimiro beats Ramon Garcia on July 3 in Baja California, Mexico, he will get his mandatory shot at WBO junior flyweight champion Ivan Calderon on August 28 in Puerto Rico, says Puerto Rico Best Boxing Vice President Peter Rivera.

In his most recent win last Saturday against Jesus Iribe in New York, Calderon suffered a minor cut on his right cheek. If the cut checks out fine, Calderon will go on with the August fight.

"Right now we're going to check the cut that I have. If everything is OK, we'll fight again on August 28 in Puerto Rico, where I'll make my 19th title defense," Calderon said to El Nuveo Dia.

"Casimiro is fighting in Mexico. If he wins, he'll fight with me on August 28 in Puerto Rico."
