A day before their court case was supposed to start, WBC super middleweight champion Mikkel Kessler has reached a settlement with his former manager Bettina Palle, and former promoter Mogens Palle. The Palle family was of the opinion that Kessler had improperly broken their contracts before signing a promotional contact with Team Sauerland and therefore they sued Kessler.

According to the information provided to BoxingScene.com, Kessler will pay an undisclosed amount to his former representatives to settle their dispute and free himself of any obligations to Team Palle. As a part of the settlement, Mogens Palle will also drop his legal proceedings against American cable network Showtime, who were involved in the entire layout and building of the Super Six tournament in which Kessler participates.
