As previously reported on BoxingScene.com last week, a junior flyweight doubleheader is being put together for June 12 at the WaMu Theater in New York's Madison Square Garden. Ivan Calderon (33-0-1, 6 KO’s) will defend his WBO junior flyweight title against Jesus Iribe (17-6-4, 10 KO’s) of Mexico, and Jhonreil Casimero (14-0, 8 KO’s) of the Phillipines will take on Ramon Garcia (12-1-1, 8 KO’s) of LaPaz, Mexico for the WBO's interim-junior flyweight title.

Ivan Rivera of Puerto Rico Best Boxing says the doubleheader will be televised as part of the "Top Rank Live" series on Fox Sports and possibly on pay-per-view in Puerto Rico. He says if Calderon and Casimero win their bouts, they will likely fight in the month of August and a venue in Puerto Rico could be in play.

"If Ivan and Casimero win, then they could fight each other in August. We are working to see if we could present that fight in Puerto Rico," Rivera told Primera Hora .
