This coming Saturday at the Palenque de la Feria in Durango, Mexico, Francisco Arce will look to avenge his the honor of his family by beating Cristian Mijares. Mijares dominated Fransciso's older brother Jorge Arce in April 2007 in San Antonio, Texas. In the co-feature to Arce-Mijares, Jose Luis Lopez returns to the ring for the first time since 2005. Lopez was at one time one of the most feared punchers at welterweight.

Mijares (38-6-2, 17 KOs) and Arce (30-5-2, 21 KOs) will will take part in a twelve round fight and a top WBC ranking will be at stake. Arce says he doesn't hate Mijares but the personal revenge factor is there.

"It's not that I hate Mijares becauser this is a business and a sport among professionals, but I do have it on my mind that Mijares beat my brother and really rose to fame after that and made a lot of money. I'll be excellent condition for the fight, and I'm sure of victory. I took up boxing with the motivation of my children and my wife. I promised them that I would get a world title and a win against Mijares is the key to achieving that dream," said Arce.
