It´s official: WBO cruiserweight champ Marco Huck defends the title against a challenger to be announced on March 13 at the Max Schmeling Hall in Berlin. Co-headlining is Russian heavyweight Alexander Povetkin. It will be a busy and important month for Sauerland Event with Arthur Abraham fighting Andre Dirrell March 6 in California.

Danish super middleweight, Mads Larsen, 36, still doesn´t want to talk about retirement despite Saturday´s crushing defeat against Brian Magee that looks like the end for the veteran. No matter what Mads will go down as a genuine underachiever. Some ten years ago ,Larsen looked world class but a series of long layoffs due to injuries and/or promotional/managerial disputes led to a scenario where we never saw the "real" Larsen competing at the world class level. Larsen's defeat has also derailed Palm Promotions - headed by former EBU welterweight champ Hans Henrik Palm - plans for future shows. Palm collaborated with Team Palle for this promotion.

Finnish heavyweight Jarno Rosberg is suspended for one year by the national federation following a positive doping test. He´s also stripped of the national title and his fight against Juho Haapoja have been declared a No Conest and Haapoja is reinstated as champion. Haapoja returns March 6 in Haapavesi vs TBA in a six-rounder.

Danish promoter Anders Vester makes, as previously reported, another comeback in the boxing business and plans to have a show in the small countryside town Kjellerup on March 26 and headlined by former world champ Anita Christensen who takes on American Kaliesha "Wild Wild" West. It´s billed as a world title fight but for which title isn´t clear.
