In a battle of heavyweight contenders, Brian Minto (34-2, 21KOs) pulled out a technical four round decision over Donnell Holmes (31-1-2, 27KOs) at Pullman Park in Butler, Pennsylvania. The scores were 39-37, 40-36 and 40-36. Minto picks up the vacant NABO title withe the decision, retains the WBA Fedecentro title, and hands Holmes the first loss of his career.

The way the fight ended had plenty of the ringside fans in an uproar. Minto was cut above in the eye in the fourth round and the referee never indicated to anybody if the cut was caused by a punch or an accidential clash of heads. The fight was stopped at the end of the round, without notice, and the fight went to the cards.
