The new WBO super featherweight champion, Roman "Rocky" Martinez, wants to make the first defense of his title in Bayamon, Puerto Rico on May 23. Ivan Rivera, president of Puerto Rico Best Boxing, said that it's possible for Martinez to defend the title in Puerto Rico on the May date.

"We are working on the idea. We don't have an opponent yet, but we can take one from the top ten. There is still nine months before we have to make a mandatory defense, Rivera told El Nuevo Dia.

If the card comes together, WBO junior flyweight champion Ivan Calderon will see action on the card. His opponent is also up in the air. Calderon was set to fight Cesar Canchila but that was scrapped after Canchilla was recently stopped by Segura. Rivera hopes to get him a new opponent in the next few days.
