Former two division champion Miguel Cotto is in training for his February 21 bout against Michael Jennings. The vacant WBO welterweight title will be on the line. If he gets past Jennings, a rematch with Antonio Margarito is already set for June. Beyond those two fights, Cotto was asked directly about a fight with Manny Pacquiao. Both men are promoted by Top Rank.

Last week, uncle and trainer Evangelista Cotto told El Nuevo Dia that a fight with Pacquiao is not beyond the realm of possibility. Miguel shares the same feelings as his trainer. He wants the big names and is willing to fight whoever Top Rank places in front of him. If Top Rank offers him a possible fight with Pacquiao - it's a fight he will take.

"My promoter has some set plans for me, and if Manny Pacquiao is part of those [plans], I'm ready to fight him. I am always available to fight the big names and Manny Pacquiao is one of them," Cotto told El Nuevo Dia.

Cotto plans to fix any of the holes that exist in his style. He wants to correct all of his mistakes from July knockout loss to Margarito.

"We are going to take a look in camp on what exactly affected us, what hurt us in the fight and work to correct those things," Cotto said.
