Mario Santiago feels robbed by the judges in Las Vegas. Last Saturday, he fought to a draw with WBO featherweight champion Steven Luevano on the pay-per-view undercard to Manny Pacquiao-David Diaz at the Mandalay Bay. The fight saw plenty of close action for the entire twelve-rounds, including a second-round that saw both fighters score knockdowns.

"I'm little upset because I couldn't bring the title back to Puerto Rico, but I didn't lose. The judges went the other way in the decision. A judge gave the fight to him. We understand that won that fight," Santiago told El Nuevo Dia. "The press saw us win. I know a lot of the press in the Unites States saw me as the winner. I won the respect of the commentators. I behaved with class and showed the ability of a champion. Even with a draw, I won.

The scores were 115-113 for Santiago, 114-114 for the draw and a criminal 117-111 for Luevano. The score for Luevano raised eyebrows in Vegas.

"That judge has to be a cousin or uncle of Luevano. That score was incredible. At the press conference we let them know that the judge did not do his job. I won the fight. I deserve the rematch," Santiago said.

Santiago says he was only hurt once in the fight when a bodyshot caught him in the tenth-round.

"I the tenth-round I almost went down. It was in the corner during an exchange and he hurt me to the body. As I was throwing punches, he caught me and I felt the air in my body leave me. It was the only time that he hurt me. In the second it was a punch I walked into when I went to knock him down again," Santiago said.
