Former champion Oscar Larios (61-6, 38KOs) is planning his next ring return on August 8 in Guadalajara, Mexico.

After being badly beaten by Jorge Linares last July for the vacant WBC featherweight title, Larios announced that he was going to walk away from the ring. He backed off the retirement plans and returned to the ring in February to decision Arturo Gomez.

In May, he stopped Feider Viloria to become the WBC's interim-featherweight champ. He plans to enforce his mandatory positioning to a Linares (25-0, 16KOs) rematch after the August bout.
