It is being reported by boxing writer Dan Rafael, that a rematch between Diego Corrales (40-2, 33 KOs) and Jose Luis Castillo (52-7-1, 46 KOs) is almost a done deal for the fall. The bout will take place on Oct. 8 at the Thomas & Mack Center and will be shown live on on Showtime pay-per-view.

The bout will be officially signed once everything has been sorted out with a rematch clause exercised by promoter Artie Pelullo for Acelino Freitas. A buyout is expected on the Freitas rematch in order to pave the way for the October 8 showdown. Pelullo has gone on the record to state that he will not keep Corrales from knocking out Castillo for a second time.

The undercard will be loaded as well. Flyweights Jorge Arce and Hussein Hussein are rumored to go to war once again. Arce scored a 10th round TKO in their initial meeting on the Morales-Pacquiao pay per view.

Jesus Chavez and Carlos Hernandez are also rumored to battle. The men stole the show on the Julio Cesar Chavez-Ivan Robinson pay per view. Chavez won the bout by way of a split decision.
