WBA super bantamweight champion Guillermo Rigondeaux (17-0, 11 KOs) is taking a huge risk, but says it's required because nobody is willing to fight him in his own weight class or in the neighboring divisions.

So the Cuban stylist moved up by two weight divisions to super featherweight to challenge Vasyl Lomachenko (9-1, 7 KOs) for the WBO world title.

The contest takes place on Saturday night at The Theater in Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Despite the weight and unexpected jump to risk his undefeated record, Rigondeaux is happy that someone is willing to fight him.

"Do not mention all those 'men' like Leo Santa Cruz, or Carl Frampton, who do not want to fight with men... it's better ask them who wants to fight me, I'll fight with anyone," Rigondeaux said to ESPN Deportes.

"[Lomachenko] is a good fighter, a quality fighter who has talent, and he is a world champion. It's a good fight, which will remain in history, and even in the Guinness records, with two multiple Olympic champions. It's something that will be seen for the first time in boxing."

Rigondeaux, who since his match against Drian Francisco in 2015, has only fought three rounds in nearly three years.

"[That does not worry me] at all, that does not affect me, we have trained very well, I am 100% and I will show it to the whole world," Rigondeaux said.

"There are bigger things than that in my sports career, but it would be something important [to beat him] and better things will come after this fight. I am one hundred percent, because we are fast, well prepared and that is what we know best: speed, the ability to fight, and we will do very well. I'm fine and I know what I have to do in the ring - the one that should worry, is Lomachenko."

"I'm not worried at all [about the judges], I do not care, I just know that I have to do my job and win convincingly, win very clearly."
