LAS VEGAS – The spectacle resumed Friday afternoon at T-Mobile Arena.

Two days after a surprisingly uneventful final press conference at MGM Grand, Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Conor McGregor made sure to take advantage of their final opportunity for over-the-top promotion at a weigh-in that was open to the public.

Thousands of passionate boxing and mixed martial arts fans packed T-Mobile Arena to watch Mayweather and McGregor weigh in for their 12-round, 154-pound boxing match Saturday night in this same arena. Complimentary tickets to the weigh-in were being scalped outside T-Mobile Arena for as much as $75 on Friday afternoon.

The 40-year-old Mayweather weighed in at 149½ pounds for the legendary five-division champion’s first fight since he out-pointed Andre Berto in September 2015. The 29-year-old McGregor got on the Nevada State Athletic Commission’s scale at 153 pounds.

Rumors regarding McGregor’s inability to meet the contracted weight proved to be false, as the UFC superstar made weight without an issue for his boxing debut. He has repeatedly said during the buildup toward this Showtime Pay-Per-View main event that he expects to weigh approximately 170 pounds when their fight starts, at least 15 pounds more than the 5-feet-9 McGregor figures the 5-feet-8 Mayweather will weigh.

Ireland’s McGregor has fought as high as 170 pounds – MMA’s welterweight limit – during his UFC career.

Following those fights against Nate Diaz, though, McGregor returned to the lightweight division to win the UFC lightweight title from Eddie Alvarez in McGregor’s last fight, November 12 at Madison Square Garden. The MMA limit for its lightweight division is 155 pounds.

Below are the weights for two of the three bouts Showtime Pay-Per-View will televise before Mayweather-McGregor:

Nathan Cleverly (30-3, 16 KOs), Cfen Fforest, Wales, 174.25 pounds, vs. Badou Jack (21-1-2, 12 KOs), Las Vegas, 174.5 pounds; 12 rounds for Cleverly’s WBA world light heavyweight title.

Andrew Tabiti (14-0, 12 KOs), Las Vegas, 197½ pounds, vs. Steve Cunningham (29-8-1, 13 KOs), Philadelphia, 198 pounds; 10 rounds for Tabiti’s NABF cruiserweight title.

Gervonta Davis (18-0, 17 KOs), the IBF super featherweight champion, and challenger Francisco Fonseca (19-0-1, 13 KOs) did not weigh in on the stage at T-Mobile Arena. Check back later for their official weights.
