Anthony Mundine says that without him, Danny Green would be a nobody and has urged the Green Machine to stay humble and gracious.

Speaking in Sydney on Friday, Mundine reminded reporters that his rematch with Green - scheduled for February 3 - will be taking place at “Danny weight” – a reference to the 13kgs Choc needs to put on for the 83kg limit.

Mundine, who won the pair’s grudge match over a decade ago, is happy enough to go into the rematch as the underdog, but is adamant Green would be nothing without him.

"To Danny, be humble man. Be gracious. I'm giving you another pay day," he said.

"Be gracious that I made your career. Without me, you'd be nobody. You'd still be fighting in RSLs. At the end of the fight, thank me for what I done for the sport and your career."

After their first fight, Green went up in weight, fighting his most recent bouts at cruiserweight, while Mundine went down divisions to win more world titles.

Mundine, who lost his last fight in devastating fashion to American Charles Hatley in November 2015, will come up four weight classes for the rematch in Adelaide.

"The weight advantage is a massive deal,” he said. “For people that don't know boxing, guys that give away half a kilo or a kilo get fined massive money. It's big just giving away one kilo.

"I'm coming up four divisions. We ain't fighting at cruiserweight, we're fighting at Danny weight – what Danny wanted to fight at. So I'm leaving him no excuse. All the pressure's on him.”

Green had a tough time making weight for their first fight, which Mundine won via unanimous decision, but the former Dragons back is the heavy betting underdog this time around.

Also on the card, prospect Tim Tszyu, who is the son of Hall of Famer Kostya Tszyu, is returning to the ring for his second pro fight.
