IBF welterweight world champion Kell Brook (36-0, 25KOs) has been studying tape on IBF/WBC/WBA/IBO world middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (35-0, 32KOs). Their fight is scheduled for September 10th at the O2 Arena in London.

Brook is heading up by thirteen pounds to face Golovkin at the full middleweight limit of 160-pounds. Brook is big for his weight, and likely better suited for the junior middleweight limit of 154-pounds, but to jump by two weight divisions and face the best fighter at 160 is viewed as a big ask by most experts.

The end result, if you ask most fans, is a knockout win for Golovkin. The unified champion has knocked out his last 22 opponents and nobody has taken him beyond the eleventh round.

Brook is considered to be a big puncher at welterweight. He believes his punching power will follow him north through two divisions.

The main flaw he sees in Golovkin's style is his defense. After studying some of his past wins, Brook feels Golovkin is there to be hit and he intends to hit him quite often.

"It's very hard to find weaknesses in Gennady's fights. He does get hit. He does get hit with shots and I'm a very accurate puncher. And I hit hard at these higher weights, so if he gets hit - he's going to get beat," Brook told Sky Sports.

"I've got to box a perfect fight in this fight. Anything short of that and it's not going to look good for me. I have to make sure that I do things first, get the jab established first. I can't just go out there and have a war with this guy because he's a big strong guy. I've got to be smart, box a perfect fight and do what he don't want me to do."
