Despite the failed attempt to make a match-up between Manny Pacquiao and Adrien Broner, Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum believes that Broner's adviser, Al Haymon, did his best to try and make this fight a reality.

"It seemed to me Al wanted to make the fight very much,"Arum said on Monday morning

."Why wouldn't he? He wasn't just on the phone talking with me a number of times to waste his time and my time. No, I think he sincerely wanted to make the fight but Broner's financial demands were just too high for it to make any sense for me to do the fight."

With that said, will Arum continue to try and put together fights with Haymon in the near future?

"Yeah, of course, why wouldn't I? I mean,  now that our litigation has been settled I'm very happy to deal with Al Haymon or anybody else who has fighters who can make good fights against fighters that we promote," said Arum.

Pacquiao, who announced his retirement in April after his trilogy decision win over Timothy Bradley, is being positioned for a return date on October 29th or November 5th. One possible opponent could be this weekend's winner of the junior welterweight unification between Terence Crawford and Viktor Postol, which takes place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
