WBA/WBC/IBO/IBF middleweight champion Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin (35-0, 32KOs) is expecting a very tough fight from IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook (36-0, 25KOs).

Their fight was announced last Friday for September 10th at the O2 Arena in London.

Golovkin was negotiating a fight with British middleweight champion Chris Eubank Jr. While the champion was able to reach an agreement on the terms, Eubank never secured the terms that he wanted from his own promoter and the fight fell apart.

Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport promotes both Eubank and Brook. When the fight with Eubank fell apart, he contacted Brook who accepted the fight. Brook is moving up by two full division, thirteen pounds, to meet Golovkin at the full middleweight limit of 160-pounds.

Fans and critics are comparing Golovkin-Brook to the May title showdown between Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez and Amir Khan. In that fight Khan moved up from the welterweight division, by eight pounds, to challenge Canelo for the WBC middleweight title at a catch-weight of 155-pounds. Khan suffered a brutal one-punch knockout in the sixth round.

Golovkin has been in the presence of both boxers and feels there is no comparison between the two of them. He says Brook is a much bigger fighter and a much stronger fighter than Khan.

"I respect him. He's very good fighter. He's champion. He has very good record. I knows its not an easy fight for us," Golovkin told ESPN Deportes. "He's going to 160. He's big guy, strong guy. I saw him. He's much bigger, much stronger than Amir Khan. I know that Amir Khan and so many fighters don't want to fight with Brook. He's champion."
