British middleweight champion Chris Eubank Jr. (23-1, 18KOs) is full steam ahead, placing his entire focus on a fall showdown with WBC/IBO/WBA/IBF middleweight champion Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin (35-0, 32KOs).

Eubank Jr. did his part on Saturday night at the O2 Arena in London, where he retained his British belt for the first time with a fourth round stoppage of previously undefeated Tom Doran (17-1, 7KOs). Golovkin was in the ring back in April, when he wiped out IBF mandatory challenger Dominic Wade in two quick rounds.

Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport, on behalf of Eubank, and Tom Loeffler of K2 Promotions, on behalf of Golovkin - are negotiating the terms for a September date in the UK. Most of the terms have been agreed upon with a few items being worked, like the UK pay-per-view money.

Golovkin is feared for his power with a knockout streak of 22 opponents. Last year, Eubank's countryman Martin Murray stretched Golovkin to the eleventh round before the contest was stopped.

Eubank has no fear of the power and believes he can take anything Golovkin manages to land.

"I know I can take a shot. I know the type of shots that I've taken in sparring and fights - and how it affects me, so Im not worried about Triple G's punching power. He's slow, his defense is not up to par and those are the areas that I feel that I can take full advantage of. I'm pretty close to my prime and that's why I want to go in there and take these world title belts," Eubank Jr. told BoxingScene.com.

Very few insiders expect Eubank Jr. to walk with his hand raised in victory. Those that do are likely picking him to win by decision. Eubank feels he is capable of cracking Golovkin's chin.

"I believe I can knock him out, stop him, cut him - whatever I have to do to get that win I will do," Eubank Jr. said.
