Leo "Terremoto" Santa Cruz has already accumulated a prestigious personal collection of three world titles in three different divisions. After winning gold at bantamweight, super bantamweight and featherweight - he wants continue going up in weight to win more.

"I will go up to the super featherweight division," predicted Santa Cruz.

On February 27th at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California - Leo is going to defend his WBA featherweight crown against former champion Kiko Martinez (35-6, 26 KOs) in Showtime televised showdown.

This is the first defense of the title for Santa Cruz, after his brilliant triumph last August in a high impact slugfest over California rival Abner Mares. Besides winning the WBA belt, he also picked up the Diamond belt of the WBC and raised his undefeated record to 31 wins with only one draw and 17 opponents knocked out inside the distance.

Even with his big plans for the future, Santa Cruz is not overlooking the upcoming challenge of Martinez. Two of Santa Cruz's rivals, Carl Frampton and Scott Quigg, hold victories over Martinez - but he displayed his dangerous abilities against both of  them, especially in the early rounds.

"For now, I'm going to stay at 126 pounds. But in my plans is to move up a division and win a super featherweight title," Santa Cruz.

"I respect my opponents, I do not underestimate anybody and I will be well prepared for my next fight. Martinez is a dangerous fighter, with good power and likes to put pressure on opponents. I'm sure will be a great contest.".
