BoxingScene.com recently caught up with WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder. The Alabama native is planning a summer return to the ring and is interested in facing one of the bigger names in the division.

On April 25th WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko faces Bryant Jennings in New York.

When asked if he believes Jennings had a shot against the champion, Wilder had this to say about his fellow American:

"I don't think so. I don't think he's ready for that. You are looking at a guy with maybe 10 amateur bouts under his belt. Even at the pro level he hasn't faced a guy close to that caliber. What I am saying is he hasn't faced a guy with such height and length. He's never faced a tall guy. I don't think he can just jump in with someone like that who has been on top of the division for a very long time," Wilder said.

"He will see when he gets in the ring. It's totally different. He says he has the blueprint and all of that stuff but it will be totally different when he gets in there. I would never say a guy has no chance because anything can happen in boxing.

"If Klitschko fights like he's supposed to fight he might get him real bad. This might be the end of Bryant Jennings. Klitschko isn't even worried about him. This is the most calm I have ever seen him in his interviews."
