Comeback plans are still on target for heavyweight David Price, but will now come with a new opponent. The Brit returns on January 25 in Stuttgart, Germany, facing Hamburg's Konstantin Airich, who replaces previous opponent Evgeny Orlov.

The bout serves as the chief support to the cruiserweight rematch between long reigning titlist Marco Huck and Firat Arslan.

Price (15-2, 13KO) returns to the ring following back-to-back knockout losses to American contender Tony Thompson, both of which came in a five month span in 2013. Price, 30, hasn't fought since the rematch with Thompson, which took place last July.

He has since changed promoters and trainers, twice on the latter as a seven-week stint with Adam Booth ended last December. Now guiding his career is American trainer Tommy Brooks, best known for coaching Evander Holyfield to his third title reign with his upset of Mike Tyson in November 1996. Brooks has also served as cornerman for Tyson's comeback, and also with Wladimir and Vitali Klitschko.

Firmly remaining in his figurative corner is his new promoter, Sauerland Event. Price signed with the Germany-based powerhouse company last fall, but his debut under the Sauerland banner - originally slated for the fourth quarter of 2013 - were delayed after he was bitten by the flu bug.

In Airich (19-7-2, 15KO), Price faces a heavyweight that was always in his comeback plans, but just not right out the gate.

"We wanted Airich as the second opponent for (2014)," Kalle Sauerland stated. "But after some good developments in training, we have upped the pace."

No official word has been given on the status on whether Orlov will remain on the card.

The showdown with Airich, who has lost three straight, marks Price's first fight outside of his native England. His appearance on the card has been well-received by the paying public. A special promotional package geared towards Price's fans in the UK traveling to Germany has sold remarkably well, with only £35.00 and £30.00 tickets remaining on that particular deal.
