Danny Garcia and Zab Judah appear to be on their way to making weight for their April 27 junior-welterweight title bout at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, according to figures provided by World Boxing Council official William Boodhoo.

Garcia came in at 152 pounds on March 28, a figure certified by Dr. George Bonner, according to the WBC. Judah, meanwhile, came in at 153 pounds on March 27, a figure certified by Dr. Paul McHugh.

The maximum either fighter could have been is 154 pounds. The WBC’s 30-day weigh-in requires fighters to be within 10 percent of the division limit. Judah had his weight certified 31 days before the bout and 30 days before the final weigh-in, while Garcia was 30 days before the bout and 29 days before the final weigh-in.

Garcia, who holds both the WBC and World Boxing Association belts at junior welterweight — unification that has continued since July despite a WBC rule against it — is 25-0 with 16 knockouts. The 25-year-old from Philadelphia is coming off a 2012 in which he outpointed Erik Morales to pick up the WBC title, stopped Amir Khan to add the WBA belt, and then knocked out Morales in their October rematch.

Judah, 35, is now 42-7 with 29 knockouts and 2 no contests. The Brooklynite is a former three-time titleholder at 140 and former lineal champion at 147. His last time holding a belt, however, was when he entered the ring in July 2011 to face Amir Khan, who knocked Judah out on a fifth-round body shot. Judah returned last March with a ninth-round stoppage of Vernon Paris.
