Promoter/manager Vladimir Hryunov is attempting to make a summer showdown between his unbeaten contender Khabib Allakhverdiev (16-0, 7KOs) and former champion/veteran Zab "Super" Judah (42-7, 29KOs).

Kathy Duva of Main Events, who promotes Judah, confirmed that her office was recently approached to make the potential match.

Allakhverdiev, the WBA's Fedelatin light welterweight champion, defeated Ignacio Mendoza and Nate Campbell in his most recent fights. Judah returned last month in an IBF title eliminator and stopped unbeaten contender Vernon Paris in nine rounds.
