Boxing adviser Michael Koncz confirmed the recent comments that were made by trainer Freddie Roach, regarding Manny Pacquiao's 'no mercy' sparring sessions at the Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles, California. According to Roach, Pacquiao has been '"extra rough" on his sparring partners, as he prepares for his scheduled trilogy showdown with Juan Manuel Marquez on November 12th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Pacquiao is reportedly fired up for the trilogy showdown, angered by some of Marquez's past commments. The Mexican WBA/WBO lightweight champion fought Pacquiao to a draw in 2004 and lost a controversial split decision in 2008. Marquez believes he was robbed in both fights. The rematch takes place at 144-pounds for Pacquiao's WBO welterweight crown.

“He could have killed his sparring partners,” said Koncz to the Manila Bulletin. [Pacquiao] will put an exclamation point [on the win]. Manny has said that this fight will put an end to all the doubts and I do believe he will. He’s been early for morning roadwork and early for his afternoon workouts. [I've] never seen him this serious although I am not saying that he’s not during his previous training camps. I just saw changes in the way he trained for this fight with Marquez.”
