In several recent articles on BoxingScene.com, former four division world champion Juan Manuel Marquez (55-7-1, 40KOs) said that he wants to wait until the outcome of the April rematch between Timothy Bradley and Manny Pacquiao, before making a decision on what he plans to do in the fall. Marquez, 40-years-old, wants to win a fifth divisional title before retiring.

According to Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum, Marquez has indicated to him that he would be available to fight the winner in the fall.

Marquez knocked Pacquiao out cold in the sixth round of their fourth fight in December 2012. But then Bradley went on to win a twelve round decision over Marquez last October. Marquez has rejected numerous offers to face Pacquiao in a fifth fight, but he would entertain the idea if Pacquiao captured the WBO welterweight crown with a victory over Bradley.

"Marquez really only wants one thing, he wants to win that title. He has indicated to us, that he was be very amenable to fighting the winner of Pacquiao and Bradley in the fall. There is a statement on the internet already, that he's made. he's obviously changed his tune [on fighting Pacquiao again]. He doesn't want to fight Pacquiao again if Pacquiao is not successful with Bradley, but if Pacquiao is successful with Bradley, he has stated that he would fight Pacquiao," Arum said.
