WBO interim-junior welterweight champion Mike Alvarado (34-1, 23KOs) sent a warning to his next potential challenger, Ruslan Provodnikov (22-2, 15KOs). The match is slated, when the deal gets finalized, for October 19th from Alvarado's hometown of Denver. HBO will televise.

Provodnikov has been doing a lot of talkin in the press and says Alvarado is running from the fight. Alvarado has promised to give him a beating that will send him flying back to ESPN's Friday Night Fights.

"You better be ready Ruslan Provodnikov. Once we wrap this deal up, your done bro. You lost to Mauricio [Herrera], [Timothy] Bradley, and now me. Welcome back to Friday Night Fights," Alvarado wrote on the social networks.
