Former WBO European light middleweight champion Dmitry Nikulin (25-1, 8 KOs) didn't exactly impress against tough and determined Uzbek journeyman Fayzullo Akhmedov (10-11-1, 5 KOs) but cruised to an easy win regardless. Nikulin, a smooth stylist, wisely circled around his opponent and pinned him with fast singles from both hands. The Uzbek, who has never been stopped, was aggressive but it didn't pay off for him. Scores were: 78-74, 79-74 and 79-73 - for the Ukrainian.

Local prospect Dmytro Semernin (9-0-1, 3 KOs) suffered the first blemish in his career, being held to a draw by little-known Georgian import Ambrosi Sutidze (6-2-4, 3 KOs). Scores were: 76-76, 78-74 (Semernin), 76-78 (Sutidze). The Georgian was reportedly deducted three points during the bout.

Sergey Nekrasov (6-1-1, 6 KOs) lost his almost perfect record by losing an unanimous decision to unheralded countryman Oleksiy Koziy (4-2, 2 KOs). No scores were announced.

Upset master Olexander Cherviak (10-3-1, 3 KOs) struggled mightily against tough Uzbek operator Ravshanbek Jabbarov (10-4-1, 5 KOs) but was lucky to earn a SD over eight. Scores weren't revealed in this fight.

German light heavyweight Dominic Boesel (8-0, 2 KOs) is certainly not a guy you will wish to watch after. And he proved it again by scoring a very dull, workmanlike (almost robotic) unanimous decision over badly overmatched Belarussian Vladimir Tazik (4-19-1) over six. Scores were 60-54 (twice) and astonishing 60-50 in a stinker, where no knockdowns have been scored. The last score is possibly an error of the announcer.

In the TV-opener, local cruiserweight prospect Vitaliy Nevesioliy (13-1, 7 KOs) edged much heavier Belarussian Yuri Bihovtsev (6-2-1, 5 KOs), a real heavyweight, in an eight-rounder. The Ukrainian felt his opponent's punches vey well but was a bit sharper to snatch a controversial SD. Scores were: 73-79 - for Bihovtsev, and 77-76 (twice) - for Nevesioliy.
