Former four division champion Erik Morales (52-8, 36KOs) says a lot is on the line when he faces WBC/WBA junior welterweight champion Danny Garcia (24-0, 15KOs) on October 20th at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Garcia decisioned Morales, 36-years-old, after dropping him in the eleventh round back in March. Morales exercised a rematch clause to get Garcia back in the ring. Morales was out of shape for their March fight and for the first time in his long career he was unable to make weight.

A loss could mean retirement, which is why a victory over Garcia is very important to the Mexican icon.

"I have a very good feeling, a lot of desire. I'll put in the effort to get [that championship], it's something personal and getting this victory is important for my career - and that's why we spent several months training," Morales said.

"[My return after a long layoff goes] beyond having a second wind - it's about dignity. This is a serious fight...[for] a world championship....a rematch - and I can not wait to [get in there already]."
