After quickly changing his mind on retiring after his disastrous loss to Tim Bradley in November, it was revealed that former world champion Brandon Rios (33-3-1, 24KOs) would be continuing his career without long-time trainer Robert Garcia in his corner. Rios has gone 2-3 in his last five appearances in the ring.

Moving forward, the question is whether or not Rios is willing to fight on lesser platforms that don't come with the lucrative paydays associated with the likes of HBO? Right now, the credibility of Rios is at an all-time low and he will need to show that he is committed to the sport. Rios is currently training his father.

"Absolutely, absolutely," BoxingScene.com was told by his manager, Cameron Dunkin, emphatically. "He knows what he has to do to get back in play and he's been training like crazy because he's very motivated because he knows he really messed up (versus Bradley). So he's training his butt off and he'll be back soon."

So what kind of activity can we expect from the 29 year old who hails originally from Garden City, Kansas?

"I'm going to sneak in two fights with him and I think after two fights he'll be down to '47 and he'll be sharp again and he'll be ready to put on a performance. I really do,"said Dunkin
