Vladyslav Sirenko vs. Pavlo Krolenko Set To Collide in Ukraine

Heavyweight prospect Vladyslav Sirenko returns to the ring Saturday night against Pavlo Krolenko in his hometown of Kiev, Ukraine, manager Maxim Michailew confirmed to BoxingScene early Friday morning.

The eight-round bout will headline a card promoted by former undisputed cruiserweight champion and now heavyweight contender Oleksandr Usyk.

At Friday’s weigh-in, Sirenko weighed 252 pounds. Krolenko weighed in at 232.5 pounds.

Sirenko (13-0, 12 knockouts), who now trains in Karlsruhe, Germany, last fought on October 11, stopping Ivan De Berardino in the opening round. Entering Saturday’s fight, Sirenko has stopped 10 opponents within the first round.

The 25-year-old has fought abroad, including a handful of times in South Africa, once in Switzerland and the United States, which occurred in November 2017, when he defeated Terrell Woods by decision.

Krolenko (3-5, 2 KOs), who resides in Kharkiv, Ukraine, lost by unanimous decision to fringe contender Herve Hubeaux in his last bout on February 15.

Three more fighters managed by Michailew will also fight on Saturday’s card.

Heavyweight Oleksandr Zakhozhyi (13-0, 10 KOs) will square off against Kostiantyn Dovbyshchenko (7-6-1, 4 KOs) in an eight-round bout.

Zakhozhyi, who is also from the Ukraine and now resides and trains in Karlsruhe, defeated former world title challenger Kevin Johnson by unanimous decision in his last bout on October 11.

Unbeaten prospect Petro Ivanov (11-0-2, 6 KOs) will face veteran Roman Shkarupa (28-10-2, 12 KOs) in an eight-round super middleweight bout.

Middleweight Andrii Velikovskyi (16-2-1, 10 KOs) will square off against Ruslan Shchelev (16-16-1, 9 KOs) in an eight-round bout.

Sirenko is a little small for hw and he fights club fighters only so far, so, I am not impressed. he should start fighting top 50 guys.

I just mentioned some of these heavyweights ,had no idea they were fighting tomorrow. Sirenkos a beast and the other Ukraine giant on the card stands 6”9 or 6”10 both are great future champion contenders. .
