The Forum, Los Angeles, California - IBF/IBO/WBA middleweight world champion Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin (35-0, 32 KOs) demolished IBF mandatory challenger Dominic Wade (18-1, 12 KOs) in two rounds after dropping him three times.

Wade was on the backfoot and was trying to counter over Golovkin's jab. Golovkin was looking for homeruns, but Wade was grabbing him when he came in close. None of Wade's punches were doing any damage as Golovkin was coming forward with the heavier damage. At the end of the first Golovkin scored a knockdown with a right hand over the top which caught Wade behind the head.

At the start of the second, Golovkin rattled Wade once again with a hard right hand. During the round, Golovkin put his defense down and allowed Wade to hit him with several shots and laughed off the punches. Golovkin took those incoming shots and then scored a second knockdown with a hard combination. Wade got up with some struggles and seemed to be a finished product at that point.

Upon rising to his feet, Wade threw a few punches and then got dropped for a third time. This time he was unable to get to his feet and stayed on the mat for the full count.
