BoxingScene.com received a call from the Dominican Republic, with immediate notification that junior welterweight contender Victor Cayo (24-0, 16KOs) destroyed previously undefeated Julio Reyes (14-1, 8KOs) at the Coliseo Carlos 'Teo' Cruz in Santo Domingo; retaining the WBA's Fedecaribe title in three rounds. Cayo dropped Reyes twice in the first round and finished him off at 43-second mark of the third round.

BoxingScene was informed that Cayo is demanding a fight with the WBA's interim-champion Marcos Maidana. Not the first time for Cayo to call Maidana out.

"He can run but he can't hide. I just destroyed an undefeated fighter and I believe that I earned my shot at Maidana's title. If I have to, I will go to Argentina to kick his @ss. And anyone who dares to step in the ring with me - I will fight them," Cayo said to BoxingScene.com.
