By Ryan Burton

Promising Heavyweight prospect Andy Ruiz Jr. (16-0) made quick work of Maurenzo Smith 10-3-2) in their heavyweight tilt. Ruiz displayed deceptively quick hands and dropped Smith with a flurry that he was unable to recover from. The fight was stopped at the 2:11 mark of the 1st round. l

Lightweight prospect Terrence Crawford improved his record to 18-0 when he defeated Hardy Paredes (15-11) via TKO. The stoppage occurred at the :49 mark of the fourth round. Crawford' was impressive from the opening bell throwing crisp power shots and concentrating on attacking the body of his opponent.
