WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko (44-2, 40KOs) has disputed reports that a deal was reached for a September 8th defense against undefeated contender Manuel Charr (21-0, 11KOs) at the Olimpiyskiy National Sports Complex in Kiev, Ukraine.

Last week there were reports that a "financial issue" was holding up the fight, but Charr later declared that "money wasn't the issue" and there were other reasons for the fight not being finalized at the moment.

"Indeed [my return is not set], it was reported that my fight will be held at the Olimpiyskiy and that even the opponent was named. I can verify that this information is not true. I did not sign any contracts. When I have specific information, we will immediately assemble a press conference to inform [everyone] about where and when I'm having my next fight," Klitschko said.
