Natasha Jonas will fight for the final time in 2017 this weekend.

The former Team GB star, who represented her country at the 2012 Olympics in London, had been set to feature on the Sky Sports Box Office-aired undercard to Tony Bellew’s heavyweight rematch against David Haye.

But after that fight, which was scheduled for December 17 at the O2 Arena in London, was cancelled due to Haye suffering a torn left bicep, it left a number of undercard fighters in limbo as to what would happen for them in terms of fighting this side of Christmas.

And Jonas has been one of the lucky ones after it was revealed that she will fight on Saturday (December 16) at Oldham Leisure Centre, as part of the Black Flash Promotions ‘Young Guns Series’ card.

‘Miss GB’ will come up against Katarina Vistica, who is originally from Croatia but based in Bosnia and Herzegovina, over six two-minute rounds and, should she win, is expected to return early in the New Year on a card at the ECHO Arena in Liverpool.

Vistica, 25, has a ledger of 1-9 since turning professional in April 2014 and Jonas should surely advance her tally in the paid ranks to four fights undefeated.

Tickets, priced at £40 and £70, are available directly from those on the bill, via www.iboxingtickets.com or from Collyhurst & Moston ABC.

In other news, Ohara Davies is set to return to the ring on February 3 on Sky Sports at the O2 Arena.

The WBA International super-lightweight champion has been out of action since winning the aforementioned belt with a stoppage victory over Liverpool’s Tom Farrell back in September.

David Allen will fight on March 3 at the FlyDSA Arena in Sheffield, exclusively live on Sky Sports, as part of Eddie Hearn and Matchroom Boxing’s ‘Rise Again’ promotion which is topped by Kell Brook’s super-welterweight debut against Sergey Rabchenko.

The Conisbrough heavyweight, it was hoped, would challenge Sam Sexton for the British title, but it is likely that the rematch against Lenroy Thomas, for the Commonwealth title, will be rescheduled for that date.

It was originally reset for the undercard of Tony Bellew’s heavyweight rematch against David Haye at the O2 Arena in London on December 17, exclusively live on Sky Sports Box Office, before Haye’s withdrawal with a torn left bicep forced the main event to be pushed back until May 5 at the same venue.

And Nicola Adams will return to the ring on Saturday, exclusively live on BoxNation and BT Sport, as part of the undercard to Billy Joe Saunders’ middleweight WBO title defence against David Lemieux.

‘The Lioness’, a two-time Olympic champion, has secured a spot on the card at Place Bell in Laval, Quebec, Canada and will face Uruguay’s Soledad Macedo, who is a former national super-flyweight champion, over six two-minute rounds.

Live exclusive UK coverage of the Saunders-Lemieux card, featuring Adams vs. Macedo and a plethora of other action, will begin on BoxNation and BT Sport 2 from 2am on Sunday (Saturday night).
