Premier Boxing Champions has been holding weekly chats on their various social media platforms during the covid-19 pandemic that has brought boxing to a halt to help keep their fighters engaged with fans around the world.

Welterweight contender Yordenis Ugas (25-4) recently appeared on PBC's Facebook channel and answered several questions from fans.

One question asked was whether Ugas would consider moving back down to the super lightweight division where he fought many of his fights early in his career.

"I fought and lost 3 fights at 140. That wasn't my division. When I moved to welterweight I felt a lot stronger. Welterweight is my weight," Ugas explained.

Boxing is expected to resume in June or July and be fought without fans in attendance for at least the first few months.  When asked about the prospects of fighting in an empty arena, Ugas said that while it is hardly ideal, he would be open to doing it.

"I don't know. I think it would be hard to fight without fans. A lot of fighters feed off the crowd so it would feel almost like a sparring session but with a referee. It would be tough to do it but I would do it if that is the only option,"Ugas stated.

Ugas has won 10 out of his last 11 bouts after dropping back to back decisions back in 2014. Both of his losses in 2014 were when the Cuban campaigned in the super lightweight division.
