Truax-Guerrero in Play For Alexander-Martinez Card

By Rick Reeno has been advised that a middleweight clash between Fernando Guerrero (27-3, 19KOs) and Caleb Truax (25-2-2, 15KOs) is likely to get finalized as the televised co-feature to the welterweight showdown between Devon Alexander and Aaron Martinez.

The card will be televised by Premier Boxing Champions on Bounce TV from Orlando, Florida. The date is September 18th.

Guerrero returned from a near one year layoff in April, when he won a ten round split decision over Abie Han on the Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. vs. Andrzej Fonfara undercard at StubHub in Carson.

Truax fought a week later, in Chicago, when he challenged Daniel Jacobs for the WBA 'regular' middleweight championship. Truax saw a seven fight win streak come to a close when Jacobs stopped him in the twelfth and final round.

A year ago this would be a big main event for FNF, so it's not really that bad of a fight. Guerrero had a good win over Abie Han so maybe he can push Truax in a good fight.

whoa whoa whoa...Alexander/Martinez is the MAIN EVENT??? I thought it would be the support for something. It'll be a blessing when the PBC collapses. It's nice that the fighters are getting paid, but it's bad for the sport.
