Tom Schwarz Defends on Sept. 30, Karo Murat Back in November

Heavyweight Tom Schwarz (19-0) defends the WBO Intercontinental title against Marcin Siwy (17-0) on September 30 at the Maritim Hotel in Magdeburg (Germany) in a battle of unbeaten heavyweights. The show is promoted by SES.

EBU light heavyweight champion Karo Murat (31-3-1) is tentatively set to defend the title in November on a SES promotion.

Opponent is to be announced and the dates mentioned are either November 4 or November 25 with SES promotion. A rematch against Dennis Boesel, the man Murat beat to win the title, has been mentioned but nothing is set.

Petko´s Boxpromotion, headed by former pro Alexander Petkovic and Nadine Rasch, return Unterschleissheim (Germany) October 14 for a show topped by lightweight Howik Bebraham (10-0) and heavyweight Francesco Pianeta (34-2-1). Both men are defending their respective IBO Int´l titles. Super middle Vartan Avetisyan (14-0-1) and Serge Michel (3-0) are featured on the undercard.

Heavyweight Pezhman Seifkhani (6-0) returns to action November 25 in Orebro (Sweden) on a Fight Life promotion. Seifkhani suffered a torn biceps in February when he beat Ante Verunica on points after a good fight and has been in rehab training since then.

IN OTHER NEWS: On Saturday night, August 5, three-time world title challenge Aleksandra Lopes (17-4-2, 1 KO) is taking on former world super lightweight champion Lisa Garland (15-7-1, 8 KOs) in the eight-round co-featured event on the "Fight Night at the Bay" card, largely to try and better position herself for one final world title shot.
 
"Fight Night at the Bay" card, presented by Granite Chin Promotions, will be held at Marina Bay Sportplex in Quincy, Massachusetts.
 
Former New England. welterweight champion Derek Silveira (12-1, 6 KOs), fighting out of Salem (MA), will meet former world title challenger Michael "Cold Blood" Clark (44-16-1, 18 KOs) in the eight-round main event.

Schwarz shouldn't have too much trouble with Siwy. Neither has fought great opposition but from what I've seen of both fighters I got Schwarz winning this fight. Nice to see 2 young undefeated HWs go at it. Siwy has a…
