Magdeburg, Germany - Heavyweight prospect Tom Schwarz (17-0) outscored Dennis Lewandowski (9-1) over ten to retain the WBO Youth heavyweight title and win the vacant WBC Youth title, so it was a double setback for the Lewandowski brothers, who however don´t share the same promoter.

In the co-feature, Agit Kabayel (15-0) knocked out Dennis Lewandowski (9-1) in the seventh to win the vacant EU heavyweight title.

Over in Catano Puerto Rico -  Lightweight Kevin Nieves of Comerio was able to overcome his toughest fight to date when he was able to take home a well-deserved unanimous decision over Mexican Alex “Perro” Del Bosque in the main event of a card presented by Miguel Cotto Promotions on Saturday night at the Cosme Beitia  Coliseum.

Nieves who upped his record to 10-1-1 with 5 knockouts, was the winner on all three scorecards by 78-74 over Del Bosque, who saw his record drop to 11-3, 8 KOs.

“It was not an easy fight,”, said Nieves, who was the headliner of an eight fight card co-promoted by H2 Entertainment and Roc Nation Sports and was part of the boxing series “Boxeo Al Maximo” “It was probably that must difficult fight of my career. He surprised me in the first round and was on top me, but I was able to come back and little by little I was able to make it my fight. He started to lose some steam and I got my second wind in the fifth round and showed my great condition, I would have been able to go two more rounds with no problem”  

In the co-feature bout of the evening, 18-year old John “E Terrible” Bauza (2-0, 2 KOs) of Catano stopped Mike Erosa  at the 50 second mark of the second round to get his second win as professional boxer. Bauza had an amateur record of 170-8 was the USA youth national champion at 141 pounds. Fighting at 140 pounds Bauza had Erosa down in both the first and second round before the referee stop the fight.  

Bauza who is linked promotionally to Roc Nation Sports was 140 pound for the bout but plans on going down to 135 pound to box at the lower weight in the future. 

Kelvin Nunez (14-0, 12 KO’s) of Carolina was able to stopped Jonuel Tapia (8-71-1, KO’s) in the third round, and middleweight Magdiel Cotto of Comerio stopped Antonio Alicea by TKO at the 2:50 minute mark of the first round. Cotto goes to 4-0 with 4 KO’s. He was a member of Puerto Rico National Team in the past Pan-American games. Cotto was 167 pounds for the fight but will continue to fight at 160 pounds.  

“The promoters ask to come in heavier because my opponent was not going to be able to make the weight, but I have no problem making 160,” said Cotto.
