Terrazas Training Hard To Turn Back Leo Santa Cruz

By Miguel Rivera

WBC super bantamweight champion Víctor “Vikingo” Terrazas is ready and waiting for his upcoming fight against undefeated Leo Santa Cruz on August 24th in Carson, California.

“I’m working hard to defeat Santa Cruz. I’ve stressed that I want to defend my title for some time to come, so that’s why I’m fully focused. I'm ceaselessly training, as the fight is getting closer every day. The preparation here in Guadalajara has been very intense. I jog for about 40 minutes in the woods and then I go to the gym for two and a half hours, guided by the supervision of my fitness trainer Omar Rivera,” Terrazas said.

Víctor “Vikingo” Terrazas (37-2-1, 21 KO) vs. Santa Cruz (24-0-1, 14 KO) will take place on August 24th at the StubHub Center in Carson, California. In the main event Abner Mares will defend his WBC featherweight title against former champion Jhonny Gonzalez.

“To fight in California is so special for me. I know that the fans are very supportive, especially because there are a lot of Mexicans living there. Attending an event where four Mexican fighters are competing, will will be great for them.”

Santa Cruz is younger, bigger, and stronger. He takes this one although I'm sure it's still gonna be fun to watch.
