Teper-Chisora Heavyweight Fight Ordered By EBU

By Per Ake Persson

Dereck Chisora (21-5) has been appointed mandatory challenger for EBU heavyweight champ Erkan Teper (15-0). The parties now have a period for private negotiations but if no deal can be reached the EBU will call for purse bids.

Teper won the vacant title with a stunning knockout over David Price in July while Chisora returned after the loss (the second) to Tyson Fury by knocking out soft touch Beqa Lobjanidze in 29 seconds.

Teper is with Z!-Promotions; Chisora is promoted by Frank Warren's Queensberrry Promotions.

Teper has better hand speed and power and Chisora´s chin is not what it used to be, but Chisora has way more experience and that really matters.. a good 50/50 fight imo. I´m curious to see what Teper is made…

No arguments would be a good scrap.

Solid matchup... what does Chisora have left? He's only 31 but was matched very hard early in his career. I don't get why people hate on him. He doesn't have the best skill set but he has only had 26…

Chisora is a poor man's Frazier. It will all come down to who uses their brain and doesn't get caught as they will pretty much slug.

hearn needs to stop paying AJ so much to fight bums or he's going to be the new santa cruz, he should be fighting teper not chisora.
