Team Caballero Await Proposal To Face Mikey Garcia

By Jhonny Gonzalez

According to the Rogelio Espino, the promoter for WBA featherweight champion Celestino "Pelenchín" Knight, they have not yet received a formal proposal to face undefeated mandatory challenge Mikey Garcia. Espiño confirmed that there is interest from Top Rank to make the fight happen, but they have yet to receive a concrete offer for the fight. The WBA has given both sides until April 13th to reach a deal, before a purse bid is ordered.

Caballero, 35, has a record of 36-4 and 23 knockouts, while Garcia, 24, is undefeated with 28 wins and 24 of them coming by way of knockout.

"We hope to resolve this very soon," said Espino.

People better be careful. Mikey is a good/solid fighter, but Caballero, though not as good as he use to be, still has enough skill and is good enough to beat him. It'll be a tough fight and Mikey gets mad…

Caba is on the downside of his career but he still has enough left to show Garcia what it's like to be in there with someone who has the belief that they can win as well

Arum ducked El Pelenchin in the case of Juanma. Now we're talking Mikey, no need to duck here. Mikey smokes El Pelenchin baby!!
